ASA/NSRA ANNOUNCES 2008 CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE

3 States - 6 racetracks - 13 race dates comprise 2008 race schedule

 Everett, WA - March 12, 2008 - The American Speed Association/Northwest Sprintcar Racing Association (ASA/NSRA) is pleased to announce its race schedule for 2008.  The winged sprinters will run a 13-race schedule at 6 different racetracks, in 3 Northwestern states.  Track lengths vary from the shortest at just .25 mile to the longest track at .686 mile.  All tracks are paved as this series races on pavement only.

Expected to battle for the title in 2008 is returning 2007 champion Andy Alberding in the #76 car, Jeff Montgomery 2006 champion in the # 33J car, Jake Mann in the # 51 car, Robert Beck in the # 3 car, Jeff Bird from Canada in the # 55 car, Kevin Burck in the # 65 car, Todd Coleman in the # 44 car, Larry Davies in the # 46 car, R.J. Fronsman returning to the series in the Zema Racing # 25 car, Sierra Jackson in the # 25 car, Justin Mack in the # 17 car, and Greg Middendorf in the 4 car.  At each racing venue 10 to 15 local drivers are expected to try their luck against the series regulars making for a field of 25 to 30 cars.

ASA/NSRA is the most exciting opened wheel racing on the west coast and by far the fastest. NSRA drivers currently hold 20 all time track records at venues throughout the region.  These are open wheeled, winged sprint cars running on paved ovals utilizing 750 horsepower alcohol-burning engines running on tracks that vary in length from quarter mile to five-eights mile facilities.
